Food Insecurity, Chronic Disease, and Health Among Working-Age Adults
This USDA report details the strong correlation between food security status and chronic health conditions among adults whose ages range from nineteen to sixty-four living at or below the Federal poverty line. The study, described in this report, collected data which spanned over five years. Food security was measured using a series of questions regarding various experiences and different behaviors of the adults who participated in the study. Overall, the purpose of this research was to understand the relation between health and food insecurity and then document the observed association.
