Apples can be incorporated into any balanced diet as they are a good source of fiber and vitamin C. This nutrition education handout includes simple methods to store and prepare apples while promoting a wide array of simple ways to add apples into a variety of common and easy to make snacks and meals. In addition, the nutrition education handout promotes good nutrition and highlights several low cost recipes including green salad with apples, sweet and spicy coleslaw and apple crisp.
