Our COVID-19 Response Continues
Feeding America® is the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States. For 35 years, we have responded to the crisis of food insecurity in the United States by providing food to people in need through a nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. We provide meals to more than 46 million people each year, and strive to help the people we serve build a path to a bright, food-secure future by engaging the country in the fight to end hunger.
Feeding America network food banks across the country continue to mobilize their response to the COVID-19 pandemic, deploying new distributions, many of which are drive-through and outdoor, to maximize social distancing. The network is distributing emergency food boxes, and more will continue to reach families and individuals in need in the coming days and weeks. Meanwhile, other food banks are working with school districts and after-school programs to offer grab-and-go cold meals for children and families to help fill the gap while schools are closed. Additionally, Feeding America is working closely with the government to advocate for the supports, protections, and food access needed by all individuals affected by this crisis.
